Landy Sparr, M.D.
Spouse: Michele (Micki)
Children: Nina (25), Nicholas (19), Cameron (17)
Micki and I moved to Portland, OR in 1979 the same year we were married,
and have been here ever since. Currently, I am Director of the Forensic
Psychiatry Training Program and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at
Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine. I have been in
academic psychiatry for 27 years and have always loved it.
My wife edits a neighborhood newspaper. Our daughter will be applying to
medical school this fall. Our son Nicholas attends Grinnell College in
Iowa where he runs track and cross-country. He was all-conference in
cross-country as a freshman. His brother is a junior bike racer in Oregon
and will continue racing in college possibly at the University of
Wisconsin but more likely at the University of Colorado.
We have been fortunate because neither I or my children have had health
problems. Both my parents are deceased and my sister Nina still lives in
Madison. I will not be at the reunion but fondly remember mostly having a
good time in high school and having many great and unforgettable
